Augusta Palmer is a filmmaker and scholar best known for The Hand of Fatima (2009), a feature documentary about music, mysticism, and family history. Her award-winning documentary and experimental video work has screened in national and international festivals, as well as at venues like New York’s Anthology Film Archives. She is an Assistant Professor of Communication Arts at St. Francis College in Brooklyn, New York. A is for Aye-Aye: An Abecedarian Adventure is her first fiction film.

Chris Arnold, Editor
Chris Arnold is a filmmaker, editor, producer and post-production supervisor who co-founded Cultural Animal, LLC with Augusta Palmer in 2005. Chris’s editing credits include The Hand of Fatima (2009) and If You Succeed (2007), which he also co-directed. He has worked as a Post-Production Supervisor on several of DCTV’s award-winning documentaries, including the Academy Award-nominated Redemption (2013).
